Up for sale is my 2006 Chevrolet Cobalt LT. $599 or Best Offer! Still on the road and can be test driven. Located in Dansville NY This has been a great car for me, and if you can get past its issues I think you will enjoy this car as well. This has been my car for the last 7 years. It has been a great car in those years but now I would like to sell it. When I bought this car, the odometer read 39,672 miles, and the title was listed as "rebuilt salvage/PA." At present the odometer reads 192,762 miles. I used this car to commute to work, which was an hour away, so there are a lot of highway miles on this car. Also, I have never had any mechanical issues in relation to the title status so I would not let that scare you. Like I said its been a great car! But, now its getting up there in age and miles and its time to let it go... This car does have issues that I know of at present that need to be addressed. But, with work this car could be worth a lot more than what I'm selling it for! As for now, as long as you keep antifreeze and oil levels up the car will still take you were you need to go. The car leaks antifreeze (I believe it is coming from the heater core as the leak is in that area) The check engine light is on (I believe most of the codes stem from a single problem that deals with a transmission sensor. I was told by a mechanic I could just drive it as is. So, I have been doing so for the past 2 years. Once in awhile the car will start jumping when the transmission changes gear, but only on occasion, and I noticed it mainly does this when the engine heats up after long drives.) The cods for this problem are as follows: P0741 Torque Converter Clutch Circuit Performance or Stuck Off P0742 Torque Converter Clutch Circuit Stuck On P0842 Transmission Fluid Pressure Sensor/Switch "A" Circuit Low P0700 Transmission Control System TCS Malfunction The car has a emission code that just popped up, my guess is this will need to be addressed to pass inspection P0455 Evaporative Emission Control System Leak Detected ABS/TC light is on (this may just be a bad sensor or corroded connection as it comes on and off but I'm not sure) Needs front tires (good news is I only paid $30.00 per tire from WalMart the last time I bought tires, they are 195 60/R15 Needs an oil change Engine burns oil, but it is and old 4 cl. with a lot of miles, so I have just been adding oil as needed and it runs fine. The car does have perks as well. Car part prices are reasonable for this car The car's interior is very clean and smoke free!
